When I return home and put ring into disarmed mode, they all disable guard and the lights stop spinning. They all have the white spinning light when set to away. I have multiple echos/dots in my house that all trigger to Guard mode when I set my Ring security system to away. You can also set Alexa to “suppress” the routine to keep it from being triggered again too soon (although, as I’ll discuss in a moment, ultrasound-powered Occupancy Routines have a built-in cool-down period). Alexa Guard light (white ring) will not turn off on Echo 4th gen.

Amazon notes that the ultrasound emitted by Echo speakers can’t be heard by humans (I can attest to that), and that ultrasound-powered motion detection takes place entirely on the device.
